Court Safety Regulations
Dear Players,
Please take a moment to read the following court safety regulations.
-
Players must strictly wear clean, non-marking badminton shoes. The soles of the shoes must be made up of gum which provides the best grip on court.
-
Any shoes worn outside are prohibited inside the courts, as they can damage the court surface/provide insufficient grip and be a health and safety issue.
-
Running or gym shoes will not be allowed on court as they leave marks and spoil the surface.
-
Players should not play on court bare-footed.
Court Courtesy
-
Crossing Behind Courts: It is common courtesy and a safety precaution when passing behind courts to wait between courts until the point played is complete. Likewise, it is inappropriate to walk behind courts when a game is in progress.
-
Attend at your allocated time slot.
-
Shuttlecocks: Shuttlecocks are expensive. Please take ONE new shuttlecock at a time and change to a new shuttlecock ONLY when the current one is no longer playable.
Clean Courts
-
Players are expected to leave courts as clean as they find them. Please do not leave bits of feathers after you, as they are slippy and can be dangerous. Please use the Court Mops available to mop away any feathers left on court after you play.
Players who do not comply with the above will not be permitted to play on court.
